The Piano Bank was an idea started by my grandfather, Zeb Billings, and brought to life by my father, Greg.
A simple concept; get pianos in the homes of children who would otherwise not be able to take lessons.
The Piano Bank is made possible by the generosity of our piano donors; clients of Steinway Piano Gallery who choose to donate instead of trade-in their piano. In addition, local piano technicians donate their time to make minor repairs and provide tunings.
Next, we work in partnership with the Naples Music Club and the LEAP Award to find students who have financial need and are motivated to learn to play the piano.
Finally, the generosity of our Steinway Piano Society members pays for the transportation costs to bring the pianos to the homes of these aspiring musicians.
