A used Steinway grand piano in very good condition. It has been rebuilt and refinished in the past.
With a smooth, mellow tone, it is very fun to play and the perfect piano for a beginning or advanced player looking for a Genuine Steinway & Sons piano and less than new piano prices.
Introduced in 1911 as the “small grand piano,” the Model M was reintroduced in 1916 as the Miniature Grand piano with a 26-note overstrung bass section and was designed by Henry Zeigler. The model was again reintroduced as the Baby Grand piano in 1927. This is a Miniature model with the original solid spruce soundboard and cast iron full plate (covers the wrestplank) with inverted V-well and cupola.
The Steinway Model M piano is considered a scaled down version of the famous Model O. Designed with a slightly smaller soundboard and shorter strings to provide a rich sound and concert-quality feel in a smaller case.
Piano Fact – The Model M was first built in the Hamburg Steinway factory in 1926.
