Restored Steinway Model S
This restored Steinway Model S is an expertly restored and rebuilt baby grand piano. Our exclusive process guarantees that the original character of the piano is preserved while the worn parts are replaced with new, genuine Steinway & Sons parts.
First produced in 1935, these Steinway Baby Grand pianos are prized for their ability to sound bigger than they are – outperforming larger pianos by other makers.
Original Soundboard
Similar to classic cars, keeping a Steinway baby grand original is the key to preserving performance and value. One of the most important parts is the soundboard, expertly fitted when the piano was constructed and designed to outlast action parts that move and strings that stretch during the normal course of a piano’s life.
Properly trained rebuilders – like ours – know how to repair any weaknesses or cracks in an older piano, making the repaired area stronger than when it was new.
Genuine Steinway & Sons Replacement Action Parts
We believe in offering our clients more value by preserving the integrity of every piano we rebuild. That means genuine replacement parts from the Steinway & Sons factory. Only a true Steinway has 12,116 genuine Steinway parts.
The result of six months of hard work is a stunning example of craftsmanship redefined. Fun to play, amazing to hear, and ready to bring your family a lifetime of enjoyment.
Fun Fact
The first Steinway Model S Baby Grand Piano was completed on October 1, 1935 and was given serial number 280968. With its introduction, the six-inch longer Model M, which had been known as the Baby Grand piano became known as the Medium Grand piano.

Under normal circumstances, there is never the need to replace a Steinway & Sons soundboard unless the instrument was damaged by water, fire, smoke, or trauma directly to the board. When the board is replaced, be sure to ask for certification that it was done at the Steinway & Sons factory and be sure to verify this by contacting the factory yourself. They have a record of every piano they replace the board in.
